Zhengzheng Zhang, Publisher of Optica Publishing Group,will present a comprehensive overview of the Optica publication processLeam how to prepare your manuscript for submission and how to navigatethe peer review process, as well as tips for writing a scientific paper.responding to reviewers, and guidelines for ethical authorship. While thissession will focus on Optica Publishing Group joumals and may beparticulary relevant for new authors, the skills and infommaton are widelyapplicable and will be of interest to researchers at all stages of their careers.

Dr. Zhengzheng Zhang is a Publisher atthe Optica Publishing Group (OPG), based inWashington, D.C. She oversees a select portfolio oprestigious joumals, leading editorial strategies andpublishing initiatives to enhance joumal quality,strengthen reputation, and maximize impact within the optics and photonics community. Dr. Zhang holds a Ph.D.in Physics, anM.A.in Science Joumalism, and an M.S.in Optics. Before joining OPGshe served as RegionalPublisher/Editorial Development Manager at theRoyal Society ofChemistry, where she oversaw the growth of 56 peer-reviewed joumals in the American region. Prior to that, she was anAssociate Editor at Cell Press, handling manuscripts for Cell ReportsPhysical Science and Chem, and a Consulting Editor for Joule. Earier inher career, she was a China Media Project Manager at the AmericanInstitute of Physics (AlP), where she also served as a Science Writer and Editor.
