  内容提要: 

  Quantum information science aims to exploit the unique properties of quantum mechanics such as superposition and entanglement for enhanced ways of information processing. Photons appear to be the obvious choice for quantum  communication, and a clean system for demonstrating quantum computing primitives. A major challenge to increasingly climb up the number of useful qubits. To this end, I will describe two parallel paths toward scalable photonic quantum technologies in  this talk. One is using nonlinear optics and multiple degrees of freedom of a single  photons. The other one is generating deterministic, and highly indistinguishable  single photons from a quantum dot. The multi-photon setups offers a versatile  workhorse for optical quantum information processing, such as multiple property  teleportation, and quantum computing for big data.

  陆朝阳,1982年12月生于浙江,剑桥大学博士,中国科学技术大学教授。首批基金委优秀青年项目、求是杰出青年学者奖获得者。在光量子信息处理和基于半导体微纳结构的单光子源等领域进行了长期的研究,已发表Rev. Mod. Phys. 1篇, Nature 3篇, Nat Phys 3篇, Nat Nanotech 2篇, Nat Photon 3篇,PNAS 3篇, Phys. Rev. Lett. 11篇, Nano Lett. 2篇:以上期刊论文中有20篇以第一作者或者通讯作者发表;被SCI引用1450余次,第一作者论文单篇引用最高360余次。作为主要作者完成的工作有:在国际上首次实现六光子、八光子和十比特超纠缠,三次刷新纠缠态世界记录;实现单光子多自由度的量子隐形传态、量子分解算法、线性方程组求解、量子机器学习;单自旋的非破坏性测量、基于量子点的高品质单光子源、基于二维单原子层的单光子发射。成果两次入选年度中国科技十大进展新闻。
